Our vision is to help guests off the streets long-term. Every guest in the night shelter meets with an employed Advocate Worker. These workers ‘get alongside’ the guest, understand why they are homeless and work with the guests to help them access the most appropriate available accommodation. This process can include acquiring new forms of identification, establishing benefit claims, accessing physical and mental health services, accessing substance mis-use support and receiving immigration advice. Typical permanent accommodation options include: a flat in the private-rented sector, hostels, rehabilitation centres, returning to family either in the UK or abroad and accommodation for asylum seekers.
